Gini is a passionate advocate for improving access within the local countryside, having spent years exploring challenging terrain in Kent on wheels.

Gini founded Wild with Wheels in 2022, and qualified as a Disabled Forest School Leader, North Downs Way and Cross Channel Geopark Ambassador. 

She has recently been appointed as Disability and Access Ambassador for the Countryside by the UK Cabinet Office.

She has worked in support and teaching roles with Mencap and various organisations for Young Adults with Learning Disabilities and behavioural challenges. As well as experience of working with the Elderly with Dementia and Alzheimers. She has 25 years’ experience in creating community gardens, organising outdoor based activities and sharing her knowledge of plants and wildlife.

She spent much of her childhood exploring the Kent countryside on foot and on horseback and loved the circular walks she did as a family, learning about nature and the native species around us.

She is passionate about rewilding and enabling access to the natural world. Since she has become reliant on wheels to get out and about, she has been advocating for providing safe spaces and environments which are inclusive for all since 2020. 

Gini is the Disabled Group event facilitator and Outdoor Access Consultant. She has designed a tool kit which can be replicated to other suitable locations and to others who are interested to provide accessible nature walks nationwide. 

She loves to explore suitable locations around the Kent Downs and North Downs way on her Mobility Scooter.

Gini is keen to spread awareness and provide advocacy for improvements to current infrastructure and barriers to access.

Gini welcomes opportunities to share her insights as a Public Speaker and improves visibility of wheelchair access outdoors as a Diverse Model so shares an increasing presence online and in publications.
