You are welcome to join Wild with Wheels at Folkestone Warren on Thursday 20 April at 10-12pm for a FREE accessible nature adventure on wheels.
We'll explore this Site of Special Scientific Interest - SSSI - on Kent's award winning Heritage Coast.
We have been kindly granted special access to this location for suitable mobility scooter/ powerchair and competent off road wheelchair users.
There are lots of uneven surfaces as some paths are natural and not surfaced. There are also a few steeper gradients. Unfortunately our assessment shows that this location is currently not suitable to attendant led / self propelled wheelchairs.
The challenge rating of this walk is level 3+ (RED). Explanations of our challenge ratings can be found here on our website. Click here for Independence Challenge ratings. There aren't many sit spots en route so those with mobility restrictions should bring a sitting aid such as an all terrain rollator or seated stick, if able to walk for quite a distance, but with rests in between.
We provide hot water bottles, blankets and hot drinks - or feel free to bring your own. Do wrap up extra warmly. legal mobility scooter / powerchair friendly (including parking) 👨🦯 Suitable for all physical, learning and mental health needs.
